I get inspiration from the disjointed way in which the natural world coincides with the artificial world of human creation. Much of my work is comprised of organic shapes, colors, and textures interspersed with rigid or mechanical components. I see beauty in most things, but I always have an eye for the ways in which the presence of humanity may have altered or added to this beauty.
I have always been interested in drafting and have utilized many skills honed in the drafting discipline in my visual art. I like to create structures and depth in my work, and I enjoy finding spatial relationships that are new to my eye and trying to capture them in the moment with feeling.
